Brian Solis
Founder and President

Brian Solis founded FutureWorks, Inc. with the goal of building a communication bridge between the rapidly evolving world of high technology, the technical needs of consumers and businesses, and their channels for learning about new solutions.

In February 1999, Solis assembled a like-minded team of tech-savvy PR professionals to package and deliver real world solutions to leading journalists and opinion makers. Solis believes that building market "presence" and "mind share" is the most important way to help clients grow and meet their own business objectives. Solis maintains a high standard of excellence and always raises the bar for delivering results. Not driven by fame or large retainers, only impacting the bottom-line for his clients, Solis and FutureWorks have built valuable relationships with "in-the-know" analysts and journalists who cover high-technology markets.

New PR:

Brian Solis has been one of the visionaries helping to integrate and leverage the reach of the Web and new media into day-to-day PR.  Today, he is also one of the leaders helping to align PR with social media and search engine optimization (SEO).  He is the co-founder of Social Media Club (www.socialmediaclub.org), sits on several boards to organize events dedicated to advancing PR and online technologies, and contributes articles and podcasts on the subjects of PR, social media, SEO, and blogger relations to many industry magazines, newsletters and blogs.

Role:

Solis sets the guiding vision for the entire organization, applying his experience and his creative PR instincts to make sure FutureWorks clients maximize their return from their investment. He directs all account managers, taking a hands-on approach with day-to-day PR and client relations. He directs and develops all key PR strategies, vision, and initiatives to ensure a higher level of success for FW clients. As the architect of FutureWorks' team-conscious spirit, Brian empowers his employees to develop and hone their own skills and abilities and encourages balance between autonomy and accountability in the pursuit of excellence.

Career Snapshot:

Brian started his marketing career at Dodge and Mansfield in 1991, an advertising/ PR firm in Ventura, California. His enthusiasm for learning and implementing technology products earned him a unique ability to translate technical advantages into valuable and practical application stories - instead of just parroting engineering "tech-speak." As a result, he became a resource to a growing number of technology companies as well as a trusted, dependable source for journalists and analysts - a unique accomplishment for any PR professional. Solis held a series of executive marketing/PR positions on both the agency and company sides. Prior to founding FW, Solis held the position of Director at The Benjamin Group, a top Silicon Valley PR agency which was later acquired by Weber Shandwick.

Client Roster:

Brian has worked with hundreds of companies at all stages of their growth in high technology, from infrastructure start-ups, to established consumer product companies entering the public arena, to some of the top enterprise technology companies in the world. His unique insight and dedication to delivering results have positioned FutureWorks as one of the industry's most regarded, tech-savvy PR agencies. Some clients have included Alcatel, Dataproducts, eCommerial.com, Fujitsu, Act, Microtune, Ricoh, WebSideStory, NetApplications, Snap Server, Wireless Knowledge, and Xircom.

"Now, more than ever, technology companies need a competitive edge. They need to be heard amidst the clamor and confusion of the marketplace. In today's volatile environment, an intelligent, well-crafted PR campaign can make the difference between prominence and oblivion. We are the communication bridge that will carry your company's message into the media and out to the ultimate customer."
